Be Still

Have you ever had a day when you get up and think about all that needs to be done and you don’t even have what it takes to start?

Ever since I got hit by a car I still can’t walk. I miss all of my customers.

In the Parable of the Good Samaritan — found in Luke 10:29-37 — Jesus answers the question, “who really is my neighbor?”

His response?: “Just give me a call when you need me and I’ll be there.”

The poem went into my drafts folder where it remained until the day I met Kristen.

Even though I’m very careful when I go out, COVID hooked on to me and doesn’t seem to want to let go.

“I like being the guy,
Holding open the door,
For the people who need somebody,
To Even the Score.”

Where does the time go?

To tell you the truth, I don’t think so.
