Contributor vendor Thomas P. has grown alongside Nashville the last 50 years he’s lived here; he’s watched the city go from a modest hub with a rich musical legacy to the sprawling metropolis it is today.
“I want to thank Nashville for their support, because everybody’s looked out for me,” Carla said.
Dennis T. knows there are plenty of untold stories in Nashville.
“Before my injury, I was so independent. I could go wherever without having to have help,” Jamie said.
Michael G. grew up on pulpy horror movies and offbeat fiction. But over the years, he’s found that weird stories followed him as often as he followed them.
“There’s waiting lists on everything,” Michael said. “Even when you go to the doctor, you’re waiting.”
“I was first homeless here back in 2009 … I said, ‘God, please give me a house.’ When He gave me a place, I thanked God for it.”
Contributor Vendor Shameka just moved into her new apartment and reflects on what it took to get there.
