The Contributor, Nashville's award-winning street newspaper, debuted its second wrapping paper issue Dec. 5. The wrapping paper pages were created from using original artwork by The Contributor's homeless and formerly homeless vendors.
The issue may be purchased now through Dec. 19 from Contributor vendors in Nashville, Franklin and Murfreesboro. Vendors can be located using The Contributor's vendor map. The issue also includes news along with original poetry and artwork submitted by vendors.
The Contributor debuted its first wrapping paper issue in November. This is the third year the paper has published wrapping paper issues, which vendors buy from The Contributor for 75 cents and sell to the public for $2. Vendors keep all of the profits.
A significant portion of our annual support comes from individual donations during the holidays. Make a year-end gift online of $25, $50, $100 or more today to help The Contributor continue creating jobs and community for vendors in 2017.
